Some people have criticized Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for not publishing her public schedule in advance. But she has a good reason for acting on the advice of the Capitol Police.
The freshman congresswoman revealed to the New York Daily News on Thursday that she receives death threats “every day” and puts the blame squarely on the “right-wing media”.
“It’s very clear that when right-wing media starts to heat up, that’s directly correlated to the amount of violent targeted threats we get,” she told her hometown paper.
When AOC needs to take refuge, she’s best back in the Bronx, admitting, “I feel safest when I’m home, so that’s the upside.”
