A 77-year-old priest at Canada’s largest church was stabbed during a morning service that was being broadcast over the internet and TV.
77-year-old Father Claude Grou was attacked during morning mass at Saint Joseph’s Oratory in Montreal. He’s is currently in stable condition with an upper body injury.
A 26-year-old man was taken into custody for the attack. The suspect’s name or possible motive have not been released.
St. Joseph’s is the largest church in Canada and draws about 2 million tourists every year.
