A California mosque was set on fire over the weekend, and the alleged arsonist left a note referencing the horrific shooting attack in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Police in the San Diego suburb of Escondido say the fire damaged the outside of the building. At the same time, a message referencing New Zealand was spraypainted on an exterior wall.
No one was hurt, and police are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.
