Historical artifacts are now history after fire ravaged the Karpeles Manuscript Library in St. Louis, Missouri.
The building roof collapsed 45 minutes after firefighters responded to the 7pm call Tuesday, WSIL-TV reports.
The library houses such historical documents as France’s approval of the Louisiana Purchase, a map used by Lewis and Clark, and the City’s application to the National League for a baseball team.
No injuries were reported.
