A bus driver is being called a hero for saving his passengers despite taking a bullet during Wednesday’s rush hour shooting in Seattle.
Bus driver Eric Stark was shot in the torso, but was able to turn the bus around and head to safety. Two other people would end up getting killed before the gunman was apprehended.
Stark was hospitalized afterwards but told reporters he did “what any other driver would be able to do if they were physically able.” He also earned the praise of Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan, who said he “saved lives and took action even after being harmed.
