A Kansas woman has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing her son and encasing his body in concrete.
Miranda Miller’s sentence, handed down Thursday, was part of a plea deal in which she agreed to testify against her boyfriend, Stephen Bodine. In December, he was sentenced to 100 years in prison for his role in the child’s death.
Police say the Wichita couple abused 3-year-old Evan Brewer for months, sometimes making him stand naked in chains for hours with a tightened belt around his neck. His body was found encased in concrete in September 2017 after the couple moved out of the home.
