After Brunei announced that homosexuality and adultery are punishable by death in the country beginning April 3rd, actor George Clooney and music legend Elton John have called for a boycott on all hotels owned by the Sultan of Brunei. Brunei-owned hotels are peppered throughout London, Beverly Hills, Paris and more.
After the small country announced that anyone found “guilty” would be stoned or whipped to death, Clooney wrote a Deadline op-ed asking the world to avoid the hotels, which he listed. Elton John later tweeted his support with the list of the same hotels to ban or boycott.
