You don’t get rich by paying full price. Perhaps that’s the logic followed by a Florida man who was busted for shoplifting on Saturday at an area Kmart.
Andrew Lippi is accused of scamming the store out of about $300 in home goods, purchasing items like LED light bulbs and a coffee maker then returning cheaper knockoffs, or in one case, a basketball, for refunds.
The arrest comes just days after the 59-year-old bought an $8-million private island off Key West.
Lippi also owns a $1,800 a night, 12-bedroom resort that was once used by MTV for the 2006 season of “The Real World”.
