An Oklahoma woman is behind bars after she stole a delivery truck to “escape zombies.”
The incident occurred earlier this week when Tamanda Billings hopped into a bottled water truck that had been left unattended in the parking lot of a Sapulpa Walmart, police say. When the driver attempted to get her out of the vehicle, she locked the doors, telling him through the closed window that she needed the vehicle to flee from zombies, a police report indicates.
Apparently, Billings had no experience driving a truck, as she was still trying to put it in gear when officers arrived. After she continually refused to open the door, an officer used his flashlight to break the window. Billings was taken into custody and charged with attempted car theft, concealing stolen property and trespassing. It wasn’t the police department’s first run-in with the woman; in February, she attempted to steal a car from another Walmart, and she was arrested in 2014 when she tried to set her ex-boyfriend’s house on fire.
