Alligator Takes Trip To Florida Walmart

Shoppers are used to seeing crazy things happening at Walmart, but perhaps this might have been a bit of a shock, even for Florida.

On Monday, an 8-foot-5-inch alligator was found waddling around outside the chain’s Wimauma store.

Officials from the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission showed up and were able to safely wrestle the reptile “without causing any harm to itself or any bystanders,” says the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page.

TV station WTSP notes that it’s “gator mating season” and they may unexpectedly turn up “as they travel long distances between water sources looking for some love.”
