Supreme Court To Rule On LGBTQ Discrimination

The U.S. Supreme Court is set to rule on whether current civil rights law protects against LGBTQ discrimination.

While federal law bans discrimination based on race, religion or sex, courts have been split on whether those laws cover sexual orientation.

The Court will review two cases involving people who claim they were fired after revealing that they were gay. The Court will determine whether discrimination over sexual orientation is covered by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.
