Elderly Amercans Much More Likely To Have Jobs

A new report claims that more and more of America’s senior citizens are remaining in the workforce.

Employment among retirement-age workers just reached the 20 percent mark for the first time in 57 years. That’s more than double the number of seniors in the workforce in 1985.

Analysts say poor retirment plans, rising health care costs, and a weaker social safety net are all factors in keeping elder Americans in the workforce.
