Two F-35As were put to the test yesterday as they carried out airstrikes on targets in Iraq, taking out an ISIS tunnel network and a weapons cache.
This officially marks the first time the Air Force has used its variant of the Joint Strike Fighter in combat.
The F-35 is made by Lockheed Martin and is the U.S. military’s newest fighter jet.
