An Iowa basketball coach who molested more than a dozen boys over 20 years will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
43-year-old Greg Stephens was sentenced to 180 years in federal prison on charges of exploitation and pornography.
Stephens coached the Iowa Barnstormers, a nationally touring AAU team sponsored by Adidas. Prosecutors say he would molest boys on road trips, who often didn’t report the abuse because Stephens could help their basketball career.
Stephens was also accused of posing as a teenage girl online to convince players to send him sexually explicit photos and videos. He received the maximum sentence allowable under the law.
