A Texas bartender has been arrested for serving an intoxicated patron who would later kill eight people in a mass shooting.
In September of 2017, Spencer Hight murdered his wife and seven other people at his home in Plano, Texas, before he was shot and killed by police.
Before the shooting, Hight was drinking at a bar and was unsteady on his feet and clearly intoxicated. He allegedly brandished a knife and said he was “taking care of some dirty work” before leaving the bar.
Last week, bartender Lindsey Glass was arrested and charged with criminal negligence for serving him alcohol. She faces up to a year in jail and a $500 fine. The bar was stripped of its liquor permit last October.
