Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that the country will introduce a “digital charter” to combat hate speech, misinformation and election interference online.

PM Trudeau made the announcement Thursday while in France during a conference for tech leaders and startups. Trudaeu didn’t give many details but said more info will come in the next few weeks.

Canada’s government is confident that the charter will restore faith of its citizens while holding social media giants accountable.
