Researchers in Europe say June 2019 goes down as the hottest month in recorded history.
Europe experienced a record-setting heat wave last month, with average temperatures in France, Germany, and Spain reaching levels 6-10 degrees Celsius higher than normal.
And it wasn’t just Europe – states like Calfornia and South Dakota also saw record heat waves in June. Analysts expect these heat waves to become even more frequent in the coming decades.
