A South Carolina sheriff’s deputy was arrested by his own department in a child sex sting.
Deputy Derek Vandenham was arrested earlier this month after soliciting sex from an undercover officer posing as a teenage girl online.
The 34-year-old Vandenham reportedly arriving at the meetup site in uniform driving his patrol car. He was arrested along with about a dozen other men, including a 72-year-old former transportation commissioner.
