Another Misspeak: Joe Biden Claims MLK, RFK Assassinated in the ’70s’

During a speech Tuesday evening in Urbandale, Iowa, Joe Biden wrongly claimed that the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy happened in the “late 70s.”

Biden was discussing his young adulthood when he made the statement, saying “Just like in my generation, when I got out of school, when Bobby Kennedy and Dr. King had been assassinated in the ’70s, the late ’70s when I got engaged … ,”

Both MLK and Bobby Kennedy were assassinated in 1968 within months of one another.

This is the latest of slip-ups from the Democratic Presidential hopeful, which has reportedly raised concerns with his staff who’re said to be considering limiting his public appearances in the future to preserve his place atop the polls.
