A Florida man seen laughing as he kills a shark in a viral video has been sentenced to 10 days behind bars on animal cruelty charges.

In the 2017 video, Robert Benac is seen dragging a shark behind his speed boat. Investigators say the shark was also shot before being dragged.

In addition to jail time, Benac must pay a $2,500 fine and perform community service at an animal shelter. Another man in the video, Michael Wenzel, received a similar sentence.
