Delta To Settle Allegations Crew Discriminated Against Muslim Passengers

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Delta violated federal anti-bias laws by removing three Muslim passengers from their planes.

As a result, the airline has been hit with a $50,000 fine to settle the claims as well as have the staff undergo civil rights training.

In July 2016, pilots removed the passengers, two of whom are American citizens, from two separate international flights, even though they were already cleared by security.

Delta disagrees with the DOT findings, but admitted that the incidents could have been addressed “differently.”
