U.S. Adds 225,000 Jobs In January

U.S. employers added 225,000 jobs in January, showing confidence in the economy at the start of 2020.

According to the Labor Department, unemployment ticked up slightly to 3.6 percent due to an additional 500,000 people entering the job market.

Part of the boost was due to an unseasonably warm winter, which added 44,000 construction jobs usually not seen in cold-weather months.
