A Georgia shoplifter has been caught, thanks to the assistance of a Walmart customer.

Surveillance video released by the Peachtree City Police Department shows a shoplifting suspect running through the parking lot of the retail giant with a police officer in pursuit. As he approaches a group of people pushing shopping carts, one man turns, notices what’s going on and unhesitatingly pushes his cart in the fleeing man’s direction. It nails the shoplifter, knocking him to the ground.

The accused thief, identified as 41-year-old Marcus Smith of Forsyth, has been charged with shoplifting and obstruction of an officer, arrest records indicate.
