Relief from the coronavirus’ impact will soon come to workers, employers, and the health care system after lawmakers and the White House reached a deal on a $2 trillion rescue package.

Among the items inside are an expansion of unemployment benefits and a $367 billion program to help small businesses, plus direct payments to Americans.

There will be loans for larger industries as well as money for hospitals and local governments.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the chamber will pass the legislation when it’s back in session at noon Wednesday.
