New York City’s Lincoln Center Cancels All Performances Through The End Of August

When will life start returning to normal in The Big Apple? Not before the end of summer it seems.

While Governor Andrew Cuomo casts doubt on Broadway’s plan to return on June 7th, organizers at New York City’s Lincoln Center are setting what they feel is a more realistic timetable.

All programming and activities are canceled through August, including several multi-week signature events – most of which were free.

In Thursday’s announcement, the performing arts center said they want to put together “a free pop-up festival in a celebration of our great city, and the selfless first responders and healthcare workers who are giving so much during this crisis,” once it is safe to gather in public again.
