The global death toll from the coronavirus pandemic has topped 300,000, with over 4.4 million confirmed cases worldwide.
The U.S. remains the hardest-hit country with 85,906 deaths, more than a quarter of the worldwide total. The UK has the second-most fatalities with 33,600, followed by Italy, France, and Spain.
It took 91 days for the global death toll to reach 100,000, 16 days to reach 200,000, and 19 days to reach 300,000.
