U.S. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, speaking at a virtual event for The Hill Thursday, said he believes there’s “a strong likelihood” the country will need another COVID-19 relief bill.

House Democrats passed a $3 trillion relief package last week but Senate Republicans have said the bill is “dead on arrival” as GOP leaders want to evaluate the pros and cons of the current relief bills.

While Mnuchin said another relief bill may be necessary, he cautioned “We’re going to have to step back for a few weeks and think very clearly how we need to spend more money and if we need to do that.”
