Passenger Plane Crashes In Pakistan

According to civil aviation officials, a Pakistan International Airlines passenger plane has gone down outside the port city of Karachi on Friday, killing all 107 passengers and crew on board.

Mayor Wasim Akhtar says the jet destroyed at least five or six houses in the crowded residential area, with the number of casualties on the ground unknown at the moment.

Witnesses saw the Airbus A320 circle and attempt to land at Jinnah International Airport two or three times.

Following the crash, Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted, “Shocked & saddened by the PIA crash. . . Immediate inquiry will be instituted. Prayers & condolences go to families of the deceased.”
