Mayor Lightfoot says city finances are a mess, $700M of red ink projected for this year and she says 2021 “isn’t lookin’ great either.”

So, is yet another property tax increase coming? “It’s the last option,” she says.  It’s all grim says the mayor, but it would have been much worse if we hadn’t sheltered in place.
