Chicago School Board votes 4-3 to keep cops in schools

Activists rallied and marched downtown and in front of the school board’s president’ home, but the board voted NOT to terminate the contract. That school board president, Miguel DelValle said local school council’s will decide whether they wants cops in school buildings. So, by only one vote, Mayor Lightfoot prevailed and the teachers union lost, but later this summer there will be another fight over whether to renew the contract.
