CDC: Pregnant Women Now Considered ‘High Risk’ For Coronavirus

The CDC has added pregnant women to the ‘high risk’ category for severe COVID-19 illness.

The agency made several adjustments to the list this week, adding pregnancy as well as underlying health conditions like Type 2 diabetes, sickle cell, kidney disease, COPD, and obesity.

Anyone over the age of 65 is also considered high risk. Race was not included as a risk factor.
