Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms — who’s considered a front runner in Joe Biden’s group of potential running mates — has tested positive for COVID-19.

Making the announcement Monday on Twitter , the 50-year-old Bottoms said the diagnosis came as a surprise because she hasn’t been feeling ill. “COVID-19 has literally hit home,” she tweeted. “I have had NO symptoms and have tested positive.”

Political betting market oddsmakers recently named Bottoms the favorite to win a spot on Biden’s ticket.
