A San Diego gym that refused a shutdown order has now been linked to a coronavirus outbreak.

The exact number of cases linked to “The Gym” hasn’t been released, but county health officials define an outbreak as three or more cases stemming from a specific location.

The state of California currently has the highest number of total cases in the country at almost 493,000.

According to CNN, the Pacific Beach gym stayed open for several days after it was sent a letter last week from county health officials to close immediately.
