Count Alabama Governor Kay Ivey among those hoping to see the 2020 college football season happen.
A spokeswoman for Gov. Ivey described football season as “a major piece of our economy” as well as “a big part of the morale of our people.”
However, the governor also wants to make sure people’s safety is prioritized, calling for “personal responsibility”.
The SEC, home to both Alabama and Auburn, has not yet cancelled its season but did delay it until Sept. 26th.
