Mayor Lori Lightfoot will give a farewell address this afternoon at the headquarters for the group BUILD Chicago, an anti violence group. The speech is planned for 3 pm. Lightfoot lost her reelection bid after losing in the Mayoral election in February. Mayor elect Brandon Johnson will be sworn in on May 15. He beat former Chicago Public School CEO Paul Vallas in a run off election in April. Johnson is a former Cook County Commissioner.
