(CHICAGO) — Governor Jim Edgar will lie in state at the Illinois state capitol on Friday where visitors will be able to pay their respects. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Central Baptist Church in Springfield. There will also be a live stream of the service.
Edgar died Sunday at the age of 79 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He served as governor from 1991 to 1999.
