(CHICAGO) — In an e-mail announcement, Pastor Corey Brooks announced that Citadel CEO Ken Griffin has donated a $1,000,000 gift towards Brooks’ “Walk Across America.”
“Huge thank you to Ken Griffin, CEO of Citadel, who is proudly supporting Pastor Brooks’ Walk Across America,” the e-mail said in part.
Griffin has long been known for his charitable acts.
Brooks has been walking across the country to raise $25 million to finish the construction of a community center that would serve multiple purposes including job training, youth development, faith-based mentorship, and entrepreneurship.
