(CHICAGO) — There is a new call for remote learning for Chicago Public Schools in response to Operation Midway Blitz.
The discussion comes after a 17-year-old student was said to have been detained by federal officers in the Little Village neighborhood.
Board members say some parents have been pushing the idea so students can stay home and “be safe.”
Interim CPS CEO Macquline King says the decision would have to come from the governor bus says schools are the safest place for students to be.
