(WASHINGTON, D.C.) — President Trump’s State of the Union address is expected to focus on his second term priorities and policies, decisions he’ll tout as successes. Trump previewing what he says will be “a long speech” tonight, saying “we’ll be hearing him” talk about the U.S. having “the greatest economy” and “most activity we’ve ever had.”
It’s the first time the president will publicly face lawmakers and Supreme Court justices following the decision to overturn some of his tariffs. The president also warning any nations over rethinking trade deals already cut with the administration, saying any effort to “play games” following the ruling “will be met with a much higher Tariff, and worse, than that which they just recently agreed to.”
Several Democrats say they will not attend the speech including U.S. Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL).
