Another unexpected animal sighting at Wrigley Field appeared to startle the opposing team during Tuesday’s Cubs-Phillies matchup — and it was all caught on cam.
Footage showed the moment a rat appeared near Philadelphia’s bench in a ball bag.
It then reappeared and began walking around the field, causing some coaches, players and even cameramen to jump and fans to cheer as they watched the scene unfold.
The rat raced along the perimeter before disappearing behind the rolled up tarp.
“The rat’s causing all kinds of havoc,” one announcer was heard saying during the broadcast of the game.
It’s the latest animal appearance during the Cubs-Phillies series so far.
On Monday, a goose made a surprise appearance on the field.
The goose strutted around without a care in the world for several minutes before and during Cubs first baseman Michael Busch’s at-bat, ultimately flying out over the bleachers and into the Chicago night after Busch hit a ball right into left field, where the goose was standing.
It remains unclear which animal will make an appearance in future games.
