To help prepare those planning ahead for Mother’s Day, DoorDash released its list of the best local brunch spots nationwide.
The delivery app compiled the lists based on small- to medium-sized restaurants with the highest average customer ratings and fewer than 10 stores on DoorDash.
From trendy brunch joints to family-owned florists, here are some local spots Chicago residents shouldn’t miss out on this Mother’s Day.
Mother’s Day is always celebrated on the second Sunday of May. This year the holiday lands on May 10.
The delivery site recommends booking a table for Mother’s Day brunch at the following Chicago restaurants:
- Andros Taverna
- Contemporary Greek-inspired restaurant located at 2542 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Logan Square. Brunch treats include tsoureki French toast, the baklava bear claw and the lox and happy egg bagel.
- Bar Tutto
- Cozy Italian café located at 1110 W. Carroll Ave. in Fulton Market. Treat yourself to an espresso or prosciutto parmesan croissant.
- Maple & Ash
- Grab some surf and turf at this upscale steakhouse located at 8 W. Maple St. near Gold Coast. From the Alaskan King Crab Eggs Benedict to lobster avocado toast, this spot is home to some of the most creative brunch creations.
- S.K.Y
- This New American spot serves brunch in a dim-sum style with a global influence, located at 2300 N. Lincoln Park W. in Lincoln Park. Combining Asian flavors and Southern touches, the menu includes creative dishes like coconut pancakes and short rib shakshuka.
- Cafecito
- Earn a $5 credit when you spend $11 or more at this women-owned coffee and brunch spot. The eatery has five locations across the city and makes many of its drinks and treats in-house daily, including its House Cured Salmon Benedict and Espresso Cruffin.
- Cupitol Coffee & Eatery
