Every year, National Hot Dog Day is celebrated on the third Wednesday of July, and there’s no shortage of deals in the Chicago area.
The observance will take place Wednesday, and plenty of national and local food spots will offer special discounts and meal offers to customers.
From free hot dogs to limited-time food specials, here are some deals available in the Chicago area.
7-Eleven
The convenience store is offering mix-and-match deals for $3.50 on any two Roller Grill items, which includes Big Bite hot dogs, according to the company.
Buona
For July 15 only, customers can purchase a Chicago-style hot dog and crispy fries for just $5.99.
Circle K
Inner Circle members can claim a $1 hot dog on July 15, with the offer limited to one per member.
Devil Dawgs
With any online purchase of $5, customers can also get a free Chicago Dog, Big Chicago Dawg or Vegan Chicago Dog. The deal cannot be ordered in-person, and is limited to one free item per customer.
Dog Haus
Registered rewards members can get a free Haus Dog on July 15, limited to one per member.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers
On July 15, rewards members can purchase a Chili Cheese Dog for $3.49 at a Freddy’s drive-thru, restaurant or via pickup and delivery services.
Love’s Travel Stops
The chain is rolling out daily offers from July 13-17 on its Love’s Rewards App. For July 15, customers can get one free hot dog.
Mr. C’s Hot Dogs and More
Just for July 15, the Elgin spot will be offering a $22 family special that includes four hot dogs, fries and two sodas.
Pop’s Italian Beef & Sausage
For Wednesdays this whole month, Pop’s will have discounted hot dogs at all of their locations. For July 15, specifically, customers can purchase $2.50 hot dogs with fries.
Portillo’s
Through July 16, Perks members can get a $1 hot dog with a $5 or more purchase.
The Hat Chicago
The Wicker Park spot is offering unlimited hot dogs and soft drinks for Wednesday through a $19 ticket purchase. The special event will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Wienerschnitzel
The chain will be offering four chili dogs for $4 in celebration of the holiday.
