(CHICAGO) — Patrick Kane, the top-scoring American-born player in NHL history, has signed a multi-year deal with the Blackhawks.
The 37-year-old spent 15 seasons in Chicago after they drafted him first overall in the 2007 and went on to help the franchise win Stanley Cups in 2010, 2013, and 2015.
The Hawks announced Thursday that the unrestricted free agent has signed a two-year, $16 million contract. He spent the last three years with the Detroit Red Wings.
