For the third straight year, the Savannah Bananas will be bringing ‘Banana Ball’ to Chicago, and next year, they’ll be going bigger than ever.
During the team’s selection show in Georgia on Thursday, it was revealed the Bananas will be taking on the Party Animals, but after playing at Rate Field in 2025 and Wrigley Field in 2026, they’re going to be visiting a new venue.
According to the team, the Party Animals will serve as the home squad in games in Chicago on July 10 and 11, 2027, and the games will be played at Soldier Field.
The six-team Banana Ball Championship League will visit nearly every state during their 2027 season, and they will also travel outside of the United States for the first time, with multiple series planned in both Mexico and Canada.
In previous years, the Bananas have played in Chicago, facing off against the Firefighters at Rate Field during their 2025 season and the Firefighters again at Wrigley Field in 2026.
This time around the team will be bringing the show to Soldier Field, with ticket lotteries opening after Thursday’s showcase.
More details to come.
