(Gary, IN) — Residents in Northwest Indiana will have a chance to weigh in on a proposed electric rate hike. NIPSCO is proposing a 20-percent rate hike which would add an extra $32 per month to a customers bill on average.
The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission is holding two public meetings December 5. The first is at Hammond City Hall at 12:30 p.m. with the second meeting schedule for 5 p.m. at the Gary Public Library’s Woodson Branch.
