Vice President JD Vance declared his solidarity with President Donald Trump in a post on X.
“President Trump has done more than any person in my lifetime to earn the trust of the movement he leads. I’m proud to stand beside him,” Vance wrote.
The Thursday evening post came at the end of a long day of back-and-forth between Trump and Elon Musk over the one big, beautiful bill now under review of the Senate.
Musk said it was bad. Trump countered, and the online punch, counter-punch went on for some time.
Vance added a thought on Friday, “It’s (maybe) the single biggest disconnect between fake media perception and reality.”
And in a subsequent comment, he offered, “There are many lies the corporate media tells about President Trump. One of the most glaring is that he’s impulsive or short-tempered,” Vance said. “Anyone who has seen him operate under pressure knows that’s ridiculous.”
