The Emmy nominations are being announced. The nominees for outstanding limited series are: “Adolescence”; “Black Mirror”; “Dying For Sex”; “Monsters: The Lyle And Erik Menendez Story”; “The Penguin.” “Severance” is the show to beat, with a leading 27 nominations. The Apple TV+ split-personality series got nominations for best drama with lead acting nominations for stars Adam Scott and Britt Lower. On the comedy side, another Apple show, Seth Rogen’s Hollywood satire “The Studio,” topped Emmy veterans “Hacks” and “The Bear” with 23 nominations. CBS will air the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sept. 14. Nate Bargatze is slated to host. The Bear which takes place in Chicago received 13 nominations including best comedy series and best comedy actor for Jeremy Allen White.
