Special thanks to our guests:
SAM SMITH- Bulls.com writer joins the show to discuss the Bulls signing of Mike Dunleavy, their freshly released Summer League roster and Derrick Rose. Smith says Rose’s injury wasn't surprising and he believes looking back in a couple of years, people will be glad Rose sat out as long as he did. Dunleavy can do a lot of things like shooting and passing the ball for the Bulls. This came as a bit of a surprise to fans that Dunleavy would even get signed. Smith believes the Bulls are now a legitimate contender for next year. The Bulls are now 4th in league payroll.
AND
RICK MORRISSEY- Reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times joined the show to discuss Cubs baseball. Morrissey believes the Cubs will trade Matt Garza at the trade deadline but is not sure. Possible destination spots for Garza are teams are not well known. Morrissey believes in a nutshell that teams interested in Garza are those who need pitching. Rick’s advice is to get rid of Garza because this team is nowhere close to winning. There is a chance of Garza coming back as a free agent in a couple of years, but Morrissey sees no chance of Garza staying here after this year’s trade deadline. Later, the guys discussed the annoying advertisements all over sports venues. In a couple of years it could spread to everything in a stadium.
Join us again tomorrow at 5 when we will have the latest Chicago sports news and views.
