(Chicago) With only a week to go in office, a very emotional Governor Pat Quinn addressed the City Club this afternoon.
Quinn got choked up at his City Club farewell address. He told a packed house that his father was his model for being governor, “Extremely capable in his work, was at all times cheerful, earnest, co-operative, frank and honest. His personal character was beyond reproach. So that’s what I’ve tried to do in my public life and I look forward many years to come.”
And in those years to come Quinn said he will keep working for military veterans, organize referendums on the issues of mental health and the protection of children and when asked whether he will run for office again, Quinn left the door open by simply shrugging his shoulders.
