(AURORA) An SUV with a woman and two children inside crashed, then went into a retention pond early Wednesday in west suburban Aurora.
The driver of the SUV was speeding out of a parking lot on Edgelawn Drive north of Sullivan Road a few minutes before 5 a.m. when the SUV struck a northbound car, then went into a retention pond, according to Aurora city spokesman Dan Ferrelli.
A woman and two children inside the SUV were taken to hospitals, but their conditions were not yet known, Ferrelli said.
The driver of the car suffered minor injuries, Ferrelli said.
